♏ THIEF: HALLUCINATE
Nov. 19th, 2011 10:03 am[Vriska didn't think any of it when she ate the slightly mushy edible fungus that her family fed her. But a few hours after eating it, she finds herself back home.
And face to face with Jack Noir. Except... he'd killed everyone. She was the last one left, the one to defeat him, the only one who could defeat him now.
And she did. He only managed to land one good blow on her because she had luck, all the luck. The luckiest roll, and he no longer stood a chance. She stands over him, and over the body of her friends, clutching her wounded side.]
[Voice.]
Heh, and I was worried that I couldn't do it. Only one person has all the luck in the end, and that's me hehehe. Fucking Jack Noir, you ruined everything for us and now you got yours. Thanks to me.
In case, you were wondering... Victory feels really fucking great!!!!!! And I barely had to break a sweat, heh. All the things I've done are going to be gone! Poof!!!!!! A new beginning, a restart, a new chance to get lucky!
[She laughs... but it dies quickly in her throat. There's no one to start over with, everyone is gone.]
Argh, this is such bullshit. Victory shouldn't feel so shitty, victory is supposed to be great. Yeah, I beat him, so fucking what? In the end I still didn't win. He still killed them, all of them, and I couldn't stop him from doing that. No fucking redemption if there's no one left to redeem yourself for. And I thought I could protect them, ha! Now that's a fucking joke!
[She sits down, next to the bodies of Karkat and Terezi, clutching a wound on her side. Noir got her better than she realized, there's a lot of blood.]
Heh, he got me good though. Maybe if I do go, it could still be a hero's death, all this shit... it's gotta count for something, right? Heh... Sorry John... if we don't manage to talk again...
[Action.]
[Vriska is just sitting out on her front lawn, clutching her side and looking like she's in a lot of pain. There's blood everywhere, her blood, Jack's blood, Karkat's blood, Kanaya's blood, Terezi's blood...
But of course, none of that is real. She's simply sitting there with an unreadable expression on her face.]
